The Middle School Fellowship youth and advisors started chalking messages of love and welcome and kindness and acceptance and inclusion on the sidewalks in front of and around our church right after the election back in November. Our Sunday School children and teachers followed suit the next week. From there, we had the idea to make chalk available to others and to invite others to join us in spreading messages of love in all corners of the world. In so doing, our very church building has started to become a living mural.

Eventually this public art initiative will end, and the chalk will be washed away- but in the meantime, it’s been moving and amazing to see conversations and proclamations of love and kindness fill our walls.
