Music at FBC Beverly
Music is a vibrant part of the worship experience and faith life here at First Baptist Church, led by our talented Director of Music, Dr. Esther Chang. In addition to providing music during our Worship services, in December and May we have Music Sunday, a beloved worship experience showcasing the skills of our music program. Please come and sing or ring with us! Contact Esther at echang@fbcbeverly.org or 978-922-3295 x107 to learn how you can share in our passion for music!
We are also proud of our organ, designed by Thad H.H. Outerbridge, which consists of 60 ranks, 37 couplers, 43 combination pistons, 6 reversibles, and 3,237 pipes.
Sanctuary Choir
The FBC Beverly Sanctuary Choir is a traditional vocal choir open to all adults that performs weekly throughout the year during FBC Worship Services. Rehearsals for this group are every Thursday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. We are always looking for new singers and beginners are welcome!
Celebration Ringers
This group is open to all adults and rehearses weekly on Thursdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. throughout the program year. Please consider joining this proud group of ringers who do a truly fantastic job performing during our Worship services!
Children’s Choir
The Children’s Choir, also referred to as “Esther’s Sing-A-Long” group, meets periodically throughout the year after Worship on Sundays from 11:30 a.m.-Noon and is geared to our youngest Elementary-age friends. This lively choir explores all different types of musical techniques but most importantly of all, focuses on having FUN and creating a passion for music!
Worship Ensemble
Get ready to “rock” with the Worship Ensemble, who practices nearly every Sunday after Worship starting at 11:30 a.m. The Worship Ensemble got the band back together post-pandemic and have been enlivening Worship Services ever since! Led by Bruce Redington, this solid group of plugged in performances add a fresh, contemporary element to our musical offerings and often features guest performers alongside the regular band as well.
